BICC Members - you probably know that the Premier announced 'Stage 2' opening can commence for Huron Perth starting today. Great news for BICC!
Public gatherings can increase to 10 people.
Effective today, BICC is implementing the Province of Ontario Stage 2 Opening strategy. Here is what the changes mean for Members:
See you at the Club!
1. Up to 10 people can play at a time - double banking on two courts, singles on the third. Please note that all Health & Safety measures as well as physical distancing requirements remain in place. Some Members have remarked that all players are not signing in. The sign in book is in the shed. This serves an important public health purpose if a Member becomes infected. Please sign in.
2. When there are more than 10 Members inside the fence, please arrange to take a chair and sit outside the fence in the parking lot to wait. Up to 10 people can gather outside the fence in the parking lot area.
3. The Tournament Committee is putting together a Founder's Cup tournament. Pease contact Rob McCrea to register. The Tournament Committee will provide further details regarding Health & Safety and play. How exciting is this!
4. Coffee and Croquet will commence on Tuesday, June 16th. Tuesday times will be: 4:00 - 5:30 pm. Friday times will be 8:30 - 10:00 am. Please note Members should bring their own prepared coffee. No coffee, dishes, cream, sugar etc. will be provided. Please remember a maximum of 10 people at a time. Please leave one court open for block or other play.
Similarly, Sunday social time can happen between 2:00 - 4:00 pm. but Members should bring their own non-alcoholic drinks and snacks with no sharing.
In all cases, take whatever you bring to the Club home with you. For questions about these activities, please contact Lynda Forbes or Lisa Stewart.
Finally, Arlene Parker will be offering beginner lessons on Sundays from 2:00-4:00 p.m. All Members are invited to join to a maximum of 9 participants. The lessons will start June 14th and run for 4-5 weeks except the weekend of the Founders Cup Tournament.
The Board is thrilled that our Members can take full advantage of the courts now. They are in excellent condition. Thanks to the Turf Committee and especially to Adriaan who works so hard and takes such special care of our courts.
