2022 Open Tournaments Make BICC Premier Canadian Croquet Destination

Bayfield International Croquet Club hosted the 2022 Golf Open Tournament from June 4 - 8 followed by the 2022 Croquet Canada AC Open Tournament from June 8 - 12. 


Fourteen amazing golf croquet players entered the BICC Golf Open.  The weather was variable throughout this four-day tournament.

Players arrived from Ontario, North Carolina, Colorado, Minnesota and Australia. Players and Club Members got to know each other during the tournament and at social activities.

Club volunteers ensured the tournament and activities were .  It was a fantastic time! 

Brian Cumming, Elora Ontario (L) beat Rich Lamm, Colorado U.S.A. (R) in the Championship Flight. Tournament Manager Arlene Parker (C) presented a cash & art award to the winner.  

David Druiett, Sarnia Ontario (R) beat John Davies, Bayfield, Ontario (L) in First Flight. Tournament Manager (C) presented a cash & art award to the winner.

Twenty four players entered Croquet Canada's 2022 Open Association Croquet. Players arrived from North Carolina, Ontario, British Columbia, Virginia, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota & Australia. The lineup included the top 5 players in Canada and 3 of the top 20 players in the U.S. 

The weather ranged from hot & sunny to rain to cold & cloudy. 

This four-day tournament included Championship Flight, First and Second Flights. 

Doug Grimsley, Virginia (R) beat Chris Percival-Smith, British Columbia (C) in the Championship Flight.  Jim Wright, President of Croquet Canada (L) presented a cash& art award to the winner. Doug donated his cash award to BICC.

Dave MacLaren, Ontario (BICC Member and volunteer) (R) beat Jim Wright, Ontario (L) in the First Flight. Arlene Parker, Tournament Manager (C) presented a cash & art award to the winner. Dave also donated his cash award to BICC.

Peter Jeffers, Ontario (BICC Member and volunteer) (R) beat Mary Rodeberg, Minnesota (L) in the Second Flight. Arlene Parker, Tournament Manager (C) presented an art award to the winner.
